The UHN Election Board announces the preliminary results of the 2026 Principal Chief Election. The votes were verified by the Election Board this evening, and the total vote count is as follows:
Lora Ann Chaisson – 287 votes (56.16%)
Adam Crappel – 224 votes (43.84%)
The candidates were present for the vote count.
“Thank you to all of the voters who came out to vote,” said Chief Chaisson. “Mr. Crappel congratulated me this evening. I’m honored to lead the United Houma Nation during the next four years!”
