The following are important dates pertaining to the April 19th Special Election for the District 6 Tribal Council seat.
March 17 – Absentee ballots will be available in the Tribal Office at 400 Monarch Drive in Houma. Requests for absentee ballots must be submitted in writing with a signature to the Tribal Office 1) by mail or 2) in person at the Tribal Office. Verification of voter registration is required.
March 19 – Deadline for enrolled UHN members to register to vote in the April 19 election (District 6 only). Tribal members not registered to vote by this date will be ineligible to vote in the election.
April 19 – Election for District 6 Tribal Council seat will be held at the Tribal Office in Houma. Polls will be open 6am to 8pm. For more information, please call the Tribal Office at 985-223-3093.
