The United Houma Nation is proud to announce its new partnership with the Veterans Administration for the Legal Services for Veterans program. The program provides free legal services to all military veterans at the Veterans Administration (VA) Clinic in Houma. The program was launched in September 2023 and is already serving hundreds of veterans.
A ribbon cutting ceremony for the program will be held at the Veterans Administration Clinic located at 6433 West Park Ave. in Houma on Thursday, November 9th at 4:00 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. The event is free and open to the public.
The United Houma Nation was one of 79 organizations across the United States – and one of only two in Louisiana – who were awarded funding from the VA to provide legal services to homeless veterans, and to veterans who are at risk of becoming homeless, as part of the VA’s homeless prevention efforts.
