UHN RISING: Proposals Wanted for Marketing/Communications Services; Bids Due April 17, 2025

The United Houma Nation (UHN) is seeking bids from integrated marketing and communications agencies for the following two projects as part of Phase III of the UHN RISING Hazard Mitigation and Tribal Resilience Plan

1) Cultural Documentation and Storytelling Services – The purpose of this RFP is to engage a qualified individual or film production company, large or small, to provide cultural documentation and storytelling services to support the UHN’s Hazard Mitigation and Tribal Resilience Plan. The Tribe will accept proposals from individuals and film production companies with a clearly defined lead. This project includes filming interviews and collecting additional material/footage that narrate and preserve the UHN’s history and culture, as well as document key moments of the Tribe’s implementation of its five-phase Plan.

2) Strengthening and Expanding Tribal Communication Systems – The purpose of this RFP is to engage a qualified individual or firm with expertise in integrated marketing and communications to strengthen and expand the United Houma Nation’s communications systems in connection with the Tribe’s Hazard Mitigation and Tribal Resilience Plan. The Tribe will accept proposals from individuals or teams with a clearly defined lead. This RFP includes conducting a needs assessment, developing a communications strategy, and supporting the UHN in implementing portions of the strategy. A key feature of this effort is supporting UHN as it modernizes its integrated communications efforts to address the communications needs of the Tribe and Tribal citizens with particular interest in the Tribe’s radio station, website, social media, newsletter, marketing collateral, and proactive media engagement. A primary focus will be the performance of the communications immediately before, during, and after disaster events.
