Entergy Corporation Awards Scholarships to 11 United Houma Nation Youth

On Sunday, May 4, 2025, executives from Entergy Corporation presented Chief Chaisson and Jamie Schwartz, Senior Director of Major Gifts at the American Indian College Fund, with a check in the amount of $35,000 as part of Entergy’s 2024-2025 Tribal Scholarship Program. The presentation was held in the Native American Village at the New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival. The grant funds scholarships awarded to 11 United Houma Nation youth who are currently enrolled in college. This is the 11th consecutive year of the Entergy-American Indian College Fund partnership with scholarships totaling $350,000.

The scholarship recipients are:

  • Taylin Naquin, Loyola University – New Orleans
  • Jessica Wakeman, University of Tennessee – Knoxville
  • Ava Ward, Tuskegee University
