Elders Fest '08

The premier event on the United Houma Nation calendar is the annual Elders Fest. Every year we come together as a people to honor tribal elders (55 and older) and acknowledge their contribution to the tribe. Elder's Fest '08 was held on November 22nd with over one hundred thirty tribal elders in attendance, a new record. The eldest elders at this year's event were three tribal citizens in their 90's. A great time was had by all!    Many thanks to the volunteers and contributors who help to make Elder's Fest '08 a success.
