LAFOURCHE INDIAN EDUCATION 

Indian Education in Lafourche Parish is designed to meet the academic and culturally related needs of Indian students.  The staff  services approximately 700 students.

Lafourche Indian Education held its 17th annual Bayou Healers Youth Leadership Training at Bayou Segnette State Park. For more information about the youth training, check out Crawfish Tales, a daily newsletter put together by staff and students.

TERREBONNE INDIAN EDUCATION 

The Terrebonne Indian Education program provides approximately 2,000 local Indian students with various educational resources.

The staff is comprised of Kirby Verret, the Support Services Specialist and, Kathy Verdin, the Resource Specialist. The program is also supported by paraprofessionals who tutor at local schools.

Scholarships

Some scholarships are available through the sale of the American Indian prestige license plates, Inter-Tribal Council and the UHN.

Please support the scholarship fund by purchasing the American Indian license plate.
